The body-laptop sweater concept was reported by Engadget on this day in 2008 and it made quite a sensation. It was a new idea that would provide users with "privacy, warmth, and concentration" so they could use their laptop in privacy no matter where they found themselves. Now, it is exactly two years later, and we think we should take another look at it.
We think iPad users could benefit when using this product to read, play games and do whatever else it is they do on their mobile device whenever they find themselves in direct sunlight or a bright room. The enclosed environment would cut down on glare and reflection, taking the iPad experience to a whole new level in regards to eye strain. The only problem we might encounter using it is overheating, which has been reported by TUAW to cause unexpected iPad shutdowns.
What do you think about this idea? Will it itch to much? Do you have a better one? Let us know by leaving a comment.
